Over the weekend we were spending time at the welsh botanic garden for the welsh orchid festival.  We had great fun!  The display looked great and, though we weren’t judged for it, we thing it was excelent seeing as it was erected in less than 2 hours.

The academic year of 2008/2009 is drawing to a close.  What a year we’ve had!  From Chelsea to Sikkim, London to smaller local shows.  It’s been a brilliant year for us and we’re all hoping that next year will bring more excitement and unexpected to the project (we like it that way!).

To-the-point, I thought to myself while choosing a title to this post!  We’ve got a Gold Medal at the RHS Chelsea Flower show and we’re all a little bit excited!

Today the Judging commenced at the Chelsea flower show where the orchid project won a Gold award. Currently no word has filtered back from London as to which category we won in, but updates will soon follow as word comes through!

Just received correspondence from the Chelsea set up team! They inform me that the flow cabinet is up and in place as are the prayer flags that surround our display. Technology and plants go on tomorrow.
